Vanity Collectibles and Vintage Perfume Sale!!

I have been taking advantage of the new "SALE" features and tools that Etsy has made available for shops to use, and I love how easy it is to put on a Sale now! I've been having fun with the new features over there. Have any of you Etsy sellers tried them out yet?

Anyway, currently I'm having a Sale on my Vanity Collectibles and Vintage Perfume....items have been discounted 30% off and no coupon code is necessary! That's a big plus to me, because I cannot tell you how many times I've forgotten to put in a coupon code when making a purchase! Below are a few samplings of what I have to offer at the moment....
An Avon Purse Bottle, Lotus Bottle, Regence Mini Bottle, Ariane Antique Reproduction Bottle, Victorian Shoe Bottle, and a Topaze Antique Reproduction Powder Tin....and there's more to choose from too...

Some of the items are priced under $5! And my shipping prices are very reasonable!

Remember, you don't have to have an Etsy Account to shop place orders there, you can make purchases now as an Etsy Guest and use Paypal or Credit Cards as payment methods.

I have other various discounted items throughout the shop, along with the vanity items, so I hope you'll stop by my shop Queenie's Vintage Finds, and browse around.
Thanks for visiting today!

Before I go, I thought it would be fun to re-visit my photo files from the past and share with you how I've displayed some more of my vanity collections. It's hard for me to believe, that I've had the faded gold metal mirrored vanity tray (below) since I was 17 years old! It was a Christmas gift from my precious Mama, so I'll always be holding onto it. Plus, a little bit of shabbiness, aging and wear, only adds to the vintage charm of it too, right?!

Revisiting my shabby white bathroom shelf with vanity items too!

Thanks again for stopping by!

A Little Sewing Project.....A Curtain Skirt For My Bathroom Vanity.....

I like a quick little project that can be completed in an afternoon, don't you!? Last week, with the August summer heat in full force, I felt like doing some indoor projects, so I made this little curtain skirt for my bathroom vanity. I've had the pretty rose fabric folded up for several years waiting for the perfect project, (the fabric was a gift from a dear online friend), it's by 3 Sisters, and it's called Paris Flea Market...the name couldn't be more fitting for such a beautifully designed fabric....this is the same fabric that lines the back of my shabby shelf that's over my tub....
It's just right for covering up the two shelves of towels and other necessities (junk) that are behind the curtains. I think it gives the room a romantic shabby French country flair with the rustic stone looking flooring. I don't think I've shown you the floor before, but my husband laid the flooring last May, and I think he did an amazing job, he did the baseboard trim too. I painted the walls and cabinets, and so together it was a labor of love. I appreciate all of his hard work on that project, it really  was such a welcome change for our bathroom....

In case you're wondering what in the world this is on the counter, in the jar....I'll tell you, I tried my hand at making my own homemade salt scrub last week too! I found a great recipe, it was so easy and works wonderfully....it's the best I've ever used,  (I'll maybe share the recipe in an upcoming post sometime soon).  I put it in one of my wide mouth vintage apothecary style jars by the sink with a silver spoon for dipping....

I was happy that there was enough material left over to make a couple of hand towels for the tubs edge....

In decorating, one thing seems to always lead to another doesn't it?  So, I was inspired to change up the tub side shelf too....with fluffy peach peonies, a gifted jasmine musk French candle from my son and his wife, some vintage hobnail milk glass for a tea lite and bath oil, and a little rose creamer pitcher, that can be used for a water pitcher, I suppose....
Have you been doing any indoor summer projects, to escape the summer heat? What have you been up to this summer, besides trying to stay cool, like me?!

Displaying Collections....

I love seeing how other people display their collections....so today I'm sharing some of mine. I have collected a lot of vintage vanity items over the years and the shelves in my bathroom make a great place for me to display some of them!
I've always been drawn to old perfume bottles and toiletries, and pretty vintage boxes.....there's just something about them.....

Now days, you rarely find products in such lovely bottles and packaging....maybe that's what makes the older ones so special...

I also collect vintage china creamers, small pitchers, and handled sugar dishes, especially if they have sprays of roses on them.....this teal blue-green one is my newest addition....

This little white shelf hangs over the vanity area of my bathroom, and it's identical to the one that hangs in my living room, (you may remember it, if you've stopped by my blog before). My husband helped me make them from old corbel brackets we found....he did the putting together part and I painted them.....

I love old needlework embroidery too, it is one of the many things I like to look for and collect....the cute doggie one above always makes me smile.....below are a  few of my favorite embroidered tea towels that I've displayed over the chicken wire doors of my shabby white shelf that's above my tub.....this spot makes for a great place for me to put more of my vanity items too....

Well, I hope you had fun seeing some of my collections, and how I've displayed them...do you collect vanity items from bygone days?  It seems like they are becoming more hard to find these days.
If not, what are you drawn to while out hunting for treasures? I'd love to know!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day....we'll talk again soon!

Vintage Avon Perfumes In Pretty Vanity Bottles..

I have been a collector of vintage vanity items for a long time now, and needless to say, I've collected more than my share and more than I could ever display....So, I've got a great selection of ladies vanity items in my shop right now....mostly old Avon from the 60's and 70's...
I have this Roses Roses Cologne... in a pretty little watering can bottle with original box....I love the vintage perfume boxes....they are so pretty to display.....
This purse shaped perfume bottle....with Birds of Paradise Cologne that still smells nice....love the old foil box with the Victorian ladies design....
And a Ladies Victorian Boot shaped perfume bottle.....full of Avon cologne....
And this one reminds me of one of my favorite fairy tales... Cinderella. How could it not?  The pumpkin stagecoach perfume bottle is so cute...it holds Occur! Cologne, and I especially love the pink and white vintage perfume box....
And this white milk glass terrier shihtzu dog shaped bottle is adorable....
A uniquely shaped 1960's Blue Lotus After Bath Splash Bottle...with a screw-on bluish purple top....

It would go beautifully with this bath oil decanter bottle...this is the prettiest marble looking glass....it's a creamy milk glass with a bluish purple color with raised embossed rose designs and a rose shaped stopper....
And another unique perfume bottle shaped like a harp...holds Charisma Cologne....all of the colognes  and perfumes still smell nice that are in the bottles.....

This oblong Victorian reproduction bottle from the 1970's is gorgeous...it holds Avon Ariane Perfume....
This tiny snail shaped bottle with Avon Charisma Perfume...
A crown shaped perfume bottle with Roses Roses Cologne....
Cologne mini of Avon Rapture Cologne....this is such an elegantly shaped little bottle...
And a courting carriage shaped bottle with Avon Moonwind Cologne...such a charming and romantic little bottle!

For more information on any of these items, you can visit my shop Queenie's Vintage Finds at Etsy HERE

You no longer have to have an Etsy Account to buy over at Etsy, you can make purchases as a guest now....and you can still use either Paypal or Etsy Direct Checkout.

I plan on adding some more pretty vintage bottles soon, so if you don't see anything that you are looking for right now, be sure to check back again later, and I may have something you'd like!
