Displaying Collections....

I love seeing how other people display their collections....so today I'm sharing some of mine. I have collected a lot of vintage vanity items over the years and the shelves in my bathroom make a great place for me to display some of them! 

I've always been drawn to old perfume bottles and toiletries, and pretty vintage boxes.....there's just something about them.....

 Now days, you rarely find products in such lovely bottles and packaging....maybe that's what makes the older ones so special...

 I also collect vintage china creamers, small pitchers, and handled sugar dishes, especially if they have sprays of roses on them.....this teal blue-green one is my newest addition....

This little white shelf hangs over the vanity area of my bathroom, and it's identical to the one that hangs in my living room, (you may remember it, if you've stopped by my blog before). My husband helped me make them from old corbel brackets we found....he did the putting together part and I painted them.....

I love old needlework embroidery too, it is one of the many things I like to look for and collect....the cute doggie one above always makes me smile.....below are a  few of my favorite embroidered tea towels that I've displayed over the chicken wire doors of my shabby white shelf that's above my tub.....this spot makes for a great place for me to put more of my vanity items too....

Vintage Avon Perfumes In Pretty Vanity Bottles..

 I have been a collector of vintage vanity items for a long time now, and needless to say, I've collected more than I can display at one time, but I like to rotate out my collections, does anybody else out there do that too? Here's a few of them....

 I have this Roses Roses Cologne... in a pretty little watering can bottle with original box....I love the vintage perfume boxes....they are so pretty to display.....

 This purse shaped perfume bottle....with Birds of Paradise Cologne that still smells nice....love the old foil box with the Victorian ladies design....

And a Ladies Victorian Boot shaped perfume bottle.....full of Avon cologne....

 And this one reminds me of one of my favorite fairy tales... Cinderella. How could it not?  The pumpkin stagecoach perfume bottle is so cute...it holds Occur! Cologne, and I especially love the pink and white vintage perfume box....

 And this white milk glass terrier shihtzu dog shaped bottle is adorable....

 A uniquely shaped 1960's Blue Lotus After Bath Splash Bottle...with a screw-on bluish purple top....

 It displays beautifully with this bath oil decanter bottle...this is the prettiest marble looking glass....it's a creamy milk glass with a bluish purple color with raised embossed rose designs and a rose shaped stopper....

 And another unique perfume bottle shaped like a harp...holds Charisma Cologne....all of the colognes  and perfumes still smell nice that are in the bottles.....

 This oblong Victorian reproduction bottle from the 1970's is gorgeous...it holds Avon Ariane Perfume....

This tiny snail shaped bottle with Avon Charisma Perfume...

 A crown shaped perfume bottle with Roses Roses Cologne....

Cologne mini of Avon Rapture Cologne....this is such an elegantly shaped little bottle...

And a courting carriage shaped bottle with Avon Moonwind Cologne...such a charming and romantic little bottle!
