Vintage Baby Items...

Just look at all the adorable vintage baby things! This past week my Old Vintage Baby Powder Tin from the 1960's was featured in a too cute Vintage Baby Treasury at Etsy and I wanted to share it here. This Treasury especially stole my heart, because back at the end of April, we welcomed our first grand-daughter into the world, what a joy! Babies are so precious and there are so many little things that are out there to buy for them and their rooms. A Big Thanks going out to Celia Perry of Jacee's Vintage for including me in her "Forever Baby Collection". To visit the other featured seller's items click below on any of the photo links and don't forget to visit Celia HERE, she's got a lovely shop and awesome deals. To see my Old Baby Powder Tin, (it's still available) Click HERE. Thanks for visiting and looking!

My Humble Work Space...

I thought it might be fun for readers and customers to see where the work takes place that I do in my shop at Etsy...it's a humble space, I try to fill it with things that make me smile, after all when we're working, we should be smiling right?

As you enter the room there's a chair and small table to the right....

My tiny office room has my oak roll-top desk that houses my computer and printer, there's of course a desk chair, and to the left of the desk is a pair of tall white bookshelves that take up the rest of the wall.

I try to keep this room organized, so that I can keep my sanity, but some days I don't succeed at staying organized, sometimes there's stuff everywhere and I'll only have a path from the door to the desk. Can anyone else relate?

Sometimes I feel like my room is starting to look like an episode of hoarders, luckily I can shut the door and walk away and come back the next day if needed. I know there's always tomorrow and that I can get it back under control again then.

On the other side of the room is a storage closet with doors....and here's a front view of the little sitting area...

In case you are wondering where I do my photography for the items I list, it's done mostly in a spare bedroom/sitting room because it's the room where I get the most natural sunlight. I'm not a photography expert (please tell me you'd have never guessed right? l0l). My camera is a simple point and shoot Kodak Easy Share, and I've learned through trial and error what will work and not work. My best advice for those just starting out with photographing objects is take your photos in natural light, but out of direct sunlight. I've found that lots of windows help to make good pictures. There is only one small window in my office space, not so good of a place for photography.

Well, that's my little office tour...I better go and get busy now.
Thanks for visiting!

Welcome

Hi, and Welcome,
I hope to dedicate this website to all things old, vintage and beautiful. I'll share things that interest me and things that I think my readers might find interesting. I take joy in all things home and I like decorating and making things pretty on a budget. I like hunting for vintage finds at flea markets, garage sales, thrift stores, and antique malls.  Decorating with and creating vignettes with vintage finds is so much fun to me.... and I like to change things up for the seasons, so you'll probably find a little bit of home here in these pages.....and maybe you can use some of the ideas for your own home. I might take you to some place pretty that I've been to, or share a craft project with you, that you might want to try yourself.  If it inspires me then you may just find it here. My newest hobby is fixing up vintage dollhouse furniture, collecting miniatures and making things for my someday dollhouse that I dream of having. Maybe I'll share that here as well.  I'll be sharing Etsy shop news here sometimes too. Thanks so much for visiting me today!
